Not financial advice
Nothing on the Quantforge dashboard, in any backtest result, in any signal feed, in any email, or in any document produced by the Service is investment, financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice. The Service is a piece of software you operate. You make every trading decision, including the choice to enable automated execution.
Past performance is not future performance
Backtests and paper-trading results may not be reproducible in live markets. Real-money trading is subject to slippage, latency, fees, margin requirements, market closures, broker outages, and conditions that no historical simulation can fully capture.
You can lose money
Trading securities, cryptocurrencies, derivatives, and other instruments involves substantial risk of loss, including the loss of more than the amount you invested when leverage is used. You should only trade with money you can afford to lose. If you do not understand the risks, do not trade.
You are responsible for compliance
Securities, derivatives, and crypto trading is regulated differently in every jurisdiction. You are responsible for:
- Determining whether automated trading is legal for you in your jurisdiction.
- Registering with regulators if your activity requires it (for example, as an Investment Adviser, Commodity Trading Adviser, or equivalent).
- Disclosing the use of automation to any third party whose money you manage. If you are managing other people’s money, additional regulatory obligations almost certainly apply.
- Reporting trading income and losses correctly to tax authorities.
- Complying with your broker’s terms of service, including any rules that apply to automated or algorithmic access.
We do not exercise discretion over your funds
We do not custody your assets. Your trading capital sits at your chosen brokerage. We do not have withdrawal authority. We provide software that places orders against the API credentials you supply; the orders themselves are between you and your broker.
No guarantees about uptime or correctness
The Service may go offline, return incorrect data, miss signals, execute incorrect orders, or behave in unexpected ways. We do not guarantee that any specific trade will be placed or any specific signal will fire. You should monitor your account independently.
